About Mushq — Pakistan's Luxury Embroidery & Unstitched Fashion House

Mushq is a luxury Pakistani fashion brand founded in 2018 by three brothers with experience in heritage embroidery, creative direction, and contemporary fashion design. We create embroidered unstitched suits, luxury lawn collections, and formal occasion wear that honor traditional South Asian craftsmanship while addressing the aesthetic needs of modern women across Pakistan, the diaspora, and beyond.

Our Story: From Faisalabad to the World

Founded in Faisalabad in 2018, Mushq began with a specific conviction: Pakistani women deserved fashion that celebrated their cultural heritage without sacrificing contemporary design or quality. Rather than chase trend cycles, we decided to build seasonal collections around the moments that matter. An occasion-led approach has become central to how we design, source, and photograph every collection. Every Mushq piece exists in service of a moment in a woman's life, not as merchandise.

The Craft: Why We Say Luxury

We use 'luxury' because of specifics, not superlatives. Every unstitched suit reflects choices about fabric, embroidery, and construction that compound cost and care:

  • Fabrics: Premium lawn from certified mills, raw silk, lama silk, and brosha-woven cotton selected for drape, durability, and hand-feel, not commodity alternatives
  • Embroidery: Chikankari work (traditional shadow embroidery from Lucknow), karchobi (cutwork), and zardozi (gold threadwork) executed by trained artisans, each stitch placed with intention, not mass-produced, mass-embellished
  • Construction: Embroidered pieces are hand-finished with seams that hold, dyes that don't bleed, and embroidery that sits cleanly without puckering—quality visible at close range, not from Instagram distance
  • Completeness: Every unstitched suit includes a dupatta, trousers, and embellishments; no hidden upsells; women receive full customization freedom without compromise

Our Collections: Designed for Every Occasion

Mushq operates three distinct collection streams, each serving specific style needs and customer expectations:

  • Mushq (flagship): Heritage-driven embroidered lawn, luxury unstitched suits, and editorial collections, photographed as complete visual narratives; pieces for Eid shopping, wedding prep, and celebration moments that require investment pieces.
  • Hemline: Trend-forward, unstitched, embroidered, and casual-wear offering contemporary design with the customization freedom of unstitched pieces for women seeking fashion confidence without traditional aesthetic constraints.
  • Mushq Couture: Wedding formals, bridal wear, and occasion pieces created through bespoke made-to-order processes for the bride or celebration participant demanding customized luxury.

How We Create: From Theme to Your Wardrobe

Every Mushq collection follows a deliberate design-to-delivery process that distinguishes us from commodity fashion brands:

1. Theme Conception: We begin with a cultural occasion or emotional narrative, not trend forecasting. Collections are tied to real moments: Eid anticipation, wedding season, summer heat, festive anticipation

2. Fabric & Embroidery Design: Designers select fabrics from sourced mills, commission embroidery specifications, and create colorways suited to the theme and season

3. Artisan Execution: Embroidery designs are handed to trained craftspeople who execute chikankari, karchobi, or zardozi work according to specifications, ensuring quality consistency

4. Editorial Photography: Collections are shot as complete narratives, styled, modeled, and photographed to show how pieces exist in real life, not as isolated product images

5. Fulfillment: For unstitched collections, we manage inventory and custom tailoring coordination; for ready-to-wear, pieces ship fully finished

Occasion-Led Fashion for South Asian Women

We address a specific market gap: South Asian women in Pakistan, the diaspora, and beyond- seeking fashion that celebrates cultural occasions without sacrificing contemporary aesthetics. This means:

  • Eid collections are designed for celebration moments, not just 'festival wear'
  • Wedding occasion pieces (mehndi, dholki, walima, bridal) that honor tradition while offering design choices
  • Luxury lawn is understood as a seasonal, cultural category, not a commodity
    product
  •  Everyday embroidered wear that feels occasion-worthy without requiring special events
