Silk Road is the embroidered herringbone design in the Mushq Broadway Winter collection, a fabric whose woven diagonal weave gives the embroidery a textured surface to work against, creating a richness of depth that flat fabrics cannot replicate. The herringbone shirt is fully embroidered across all surfaces: the front, back, and sleeves are each worked in embroidered herringbone, making Silk Road one of the two fully embroidered designs in the collection alongside Timurid Rose. The daman border is worked in embroidered herringbone fabric rather than silk, grounding the hem embellishment within the same textile as the shirt. A silk neckline lace provides fine embroidery at the collar, while a combined daman-sleeves lace and a silk sleeves border frame the cuff and hem with coordinated detail. A silk finishing lace closes the outer perimeter of the shirt. A crochet lace at the front daman adds open-weave texture to the hem alongside the embroidered border. The dobby embroidered shawl carries two silk embellishment elements: a silk border along the shawl's edge and a silk center lace running down the shawl's midline, a construction detail unique within the collection's shawl range.
